Backstage Fights

It has been a busy year for Chris Jericho and Sin Cara, as each got into scuffles earlier this year that made headlines (Jericho tussled with Brock Lesnar, while Sin Cara threw a drink at Simon Gotch). So it’s only fitting that the two of them got into it themselves, although the scene more resembled a 7th grade classroom argument than a wild, barroom brawl.

Alberto Del Rio has been in the news the past couple months, first stemming from his Wellness Policy violation and then his leaving WWE. He once again became one of the hottest free agents in pro wrestling, and made the decision to remain independent and take select dates with different promotions as opposed to signing with anyone full-time.

Jamie Noble was a talented pro wrestler, peaking in the early ‘00s when Paul Heyman was booking SmackDown and did some creative things with him and his manager Nidia (from Tough Enough).

In the 1970s, WWWF legend Bruno Sammartino was in the middle of his second world title run. He routinely toured the Northeastern states on a regular basis and was a major draw for almost his entire run there.

Dory Funk Sr was a tough guy, and came from an era (which lasted through the 1980s) where you did what you had to do to protect the legitimacy of the business.
