Ricochet & Ryusuke Taguchi vs Young Bucks
****1/4

August 13, 2017
Sumo Hall in Tokyo, Japan
NJPW G1 Climax (Day 19)
IWGP Jr Tag Team Championship

This was everyone at their absolute best, in a different way.  Ricochet did his usual awesome flying at first, but then was grounded for most of the match because he sold the knee repeatedly.  The Young Bucks were on fire, doing all their usual spots with their usual perfect timing.  Taguchi, however, really kicked it up a notch and was maybe the most impressive performer of the match.  He was flying left and right, butt-bumping everything in sight to save Ricochet from all the double-team damage.

Ricochet eventually gathered his bearings and was back to normal towards the finish.  As you’d expect, there were so many innovative spots and everything came off without a hitch.  Crowd was really into it as well.
